Apples for Students

Don’t feel like carrying around another grocery card? Just bring in your Lucky’s grocery receipt and drop it off in the office. We’ll turn it in for you! Croce can purchase computers or other educational awards with this program.

Bingo

One Saturday a month, Croce and Christensen PTAs host a night of BINGO at the Bingo Ranch in Livermore. Both PTAs benefit from this partnership! 

Box Tops

Cut and save the "Box Tops for Education" on General Mills products. Drop them off in the school's office in the "Box Tops" basket. Croce PTA sends these in and last year we raised $700 with this program.  

Dine Outs

Croce PTA organizes a monthly dine out where a local business give back a percentage of what Croce families spend on a specified date. This is a great way to socialize with other families AND get a night off from cooking!

Escrip

A program where anyone can register their Safeway, debit, or credit cards on-line (www.escrip.com) and a percentage comes back to Croce PTA. We earn over $13,000 each year with this program! It’s  as easy as a swipe of your card!

E-Waste Recycling

We are all about recycling at Croce! Bring your E-Waste by the first Saturday in October and help us clean up our environment! 

Flat Dollar Donation

Croce families can choose to donate a flat dollar amount to Croce PTA and 100% of it will go to the kids! No need to participate in other fundraisers where only a percentage of what is earned comes back to Croce PTA. It’s 100% tax deductable too!

Gift Card Purchase Program

Anyone can purchase gift cards from Croce PTA and a percentage of the purchase price comes back to the PTA! Over 300 retailers participate. These are the EXACT same gift cards you can purchase in stores and you only pay face value; no more, no less. All you have to do is register and we will send you the details. (Croce PTA also keeps a small inventory of Safeway, Itunes, Starbucks, and Baja Fresh gift cards in the office available for purchase.)

Goodsearch

This is a Yahoo! powered search engine that gives back 1 cent to the charity of your choice for every search conducted. Please list Croce Elementary School PTA as the receiving charity and the money is sent right to our PTA! Last year we raised $50 with this program. Do you Goodsearch?

Lucky SHARES Card

Lucky’s has their own version of an “Escrip” program. Just let our Escrip coordinator know that you want a S.H.A.R.E.S. card and we’ll get you started! Just let us know if you want a SHARES card!

Read-A-Thon

Runs in March and kids are rewarded for hours read, not money earned. Coincides with Story Night.

Purple Pages

Businesses can advertise with Croce PTA on this website. Ads are $35 for non-Croce PTA members and $25 for Croce PTA Members.

School Programs

Spirit Assemblies

Once a month Croce kids are recognized as Students Of The Month, Super Scientists, and more! Come the last Friday of the month and bring your camera!

School Site Council

This group of elected parents and teachers meet on the first Monday of the month to discuss school academic and fiscal goals. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Walking Club

From 7:45-8:25 at the back playground M, W, F. For every mile walked or run, kids receive a plastic foot charm for their necklace. Each lap is 1/3 of a mile.

E-Flyer

Croce is a "Go Green" school. This means we reduce, reuse, and recycle whenever and wherever we can!

E-Flyer is a program where Croce families receive school and PTA communication electronically. This not only saves our school thousands of dollars each year, it also ensures YOU receive information directly to your email!

Every family is automatically enrolled in E-Flyer unless they specifically opt-out of the program. To Opt-out, send an email to eflyer@crocepta.com.

PTA Family Programs

Art Festival

This event takes place in Spring and includes a display of the artwork created by Croce students in the FAME program. 

Book Fairs

Book Fairs are scheduled each year. Fall Book Fair takes place in October and the Spring Book Fair takes place the week of Open House. At the Spring Book Fair, students spend money earned through the conversion of AR points and Read-A-Thon hours.

Costume Party and Carnival

PTA hosts a party with music, food, games, and a haunted house! Bring a can of food for our Food Drive and get one child in FREE!

Ice Cream Wednesdays

PTA sells ice cream for 50 cents. We order from Schwan, choose the light variety ice cream, and limit children to two ice creams per purchase.

Family Flea Market

Scheduled for the first Saturday of October. Purchase your parking lot sized spot for $15 or $10 if you are a PTA member. This event is FUN!

PTA Meetings

Meetings are typically scheduled on the first Thursday of every month from 7-8:30 in the Library. Babysitting is available for school-aged children. If you can only make a few meetings, come to the first meeting in September, the meeting in March/April, and the last meeting of the year! These are meetings discussing PTA funds and Board Officers.

Family Movie Nights

Every other month, PTA runs a family friendly movie in the Multipurpose Room. Bring your blankets and stuffed friend!

Story Night

Bring a blanket and pillow and hear professional storytellers and authors bring new and old stories to life!

Talent Show

Croce kids showcase their talents in this fun event scheduled in April.

PTA Yearbook

Purchase a yearbook for $20 early in the year. Price increases later in the year. Children receive yearbooks in June.

PTA Sponsored Curriculum Programs

Accelerated Reading

PTA renews each year a computer reading program which is in every classroom. Children read books from a list (over 100,000 titles) and take tests. Tests measure comprehension and reading level. Points are accumulated for each test taken and awards are given out at Spirit Assemblies. PTA sponsors the certificates and medals given to students. Points earned also are converted into dollars for students to spend at the PTA Book Fair in May.

Accelerated Math

PTA renews each year a computer math program for students to work on math concepts at their own pace. There are now 10 content levels for students to continually challenge themselves.

FAME

Fine Arts Mini Experience is a program where Croce children learn about one artist and composer per session. Children will be exposed to over 72 artists and composers by the time they graduate to Middle School!

Hoe Down

This event is scheduled in June and is the last event of the year! Every grade learns a different Square Dance and performs it on the blacktop at the back of the school. PTA serves all the children a BBQ lunch! Make plans to be here for this MUST see event.

Purple and White Fridays 

Children wear Croce Wear or purple and white. A count is taken and the class per grade level with the most children in purple and white wins for that week. After three wins, Croce PTA treats the class to Otter Pops!
